Human space museum - Our heritage places

ABSTRACT

Heritage is a historical relic left over from the process, sites, they reflect different historical periods different aspects of human social activities, a valuable historical and cultural heritage of mankind.

However, as human beings continue to accelerate the destruction of the Earth, resulting in today's environment is deteriorating, acid rain, nuclear contamination, and so the emergence of new issues, while also facing the weather, geology, local wars and other threats to the environment.

However, faced with these difficult issues in the Earth, in space, particularly good on the settlement edge, a great room for development.

Therefore, we designed a "space museum." It is mainly based on truss, service module, functional cargo space, more inventory space, energy systems and solar sails, constitute the majority of mobile service system 6. The core part of the cabinet from the 90 experiments that GCRB warehouses. Responsible for storing artifacts. With a certain space to ensure the integrity of the goods, with moisture, temperature and other equipment, to truly play the role of storage and safekeeping.

Space museum reflects its value will be multifaceted. First of all, it is more ancient relics preserved. As a sign of civilization on Earth as in space show. Secondly, there are limitations of human science and technology is still the case saved their best. "The Sailor" Light-powered Spacecraft

ABSTRACT

"The Sailor" light-powered spacecraft included outer construction system and inner satellite-loaded system. The outer part consists of main bearing, propeller's controller system and public space. The main bearing, made of both left and right rotation axis, can contract and extend (such as rod antenna).

The rotation axis is connected to propeller wings' opening box on one side and energy generator on the other side. Public space ties up the satellite, generator and posture-orbit controller system. With the main axis loaded inside, public space can make relative sliding motion in coordination with the axis. Besides the function of fastening, the public space prevents the every systems from being influenced by intense radiation and heat produced by the spinning of propellers. Controller system can start the procedures of opening the propellers by its installed computer.

The brief introduction of the planetary train system

ABSTRACT

Nowadays, we are dedicated to commercial space development. It is apparent that the traditional rocket and spacecraft transportation is no longer enough for the development because of the low transportation efficiency and highly costs. In such cases, planetary train is born. It is aimed at leading the space transportation to be more efficient and less costly. And it is can make positive contribution to the commercial space development.

The supply system of the planetary system is made up of power stations that are near the center of planet orbit and energy transfer stations that are located highly above the South and North poles. The three power stations are used to absorb and transfer the energy by the laser and the laser receiver so as to send energy to the space station through energy transfer stations.

The planetary train is designed as rocket cylinder. It has special structure. And transport both personnel and material.

The ground system consists of base stations, radar, track, security systems, laser towers and power transmission systems. There are in total four kinds of orbits in the planetary train system. They are mechanical circular orbit, magnetic circular orbit, electromagnetic rail line and The Loren track. The orbits are responsible for the train to accelerate and adjust the direction, preparing for the lift-off.

After the train fly to the space, it will ultimately dock at the space station. The space station is divided into three layers; the bottom layer is a dock area for the planetary train. The middle layer is living areas, services areas and work areas. The upper area provides a place for spacecraft to dock.

After a periodic surrounding, the train will return to ground systems. The train slows down to get right into the direct electromagnetic linear track and prepare for next transport.

A New Space Launch System Based on the Reconnection Electromagnetic Launcher

ABSTRACT

The article introduces a newly designed space launch system called Hump, which is based on the reconnection launcher, aerial rocket launch, the combined aerostat and the namely thin-film solar cell which is used to collect the solar energy and power the system. And a new commercial concept "Service for Entering the orbit" is brought out. Also, the article analyzes the space launch market and predicts the possible commercial opportunities.

According to the related data, the performance of the reconnection launcher and the transportation cost of the Hump system is calculated, which shows an attractive prospect and makes preparations for more calculation.

Furthermore, the article will summarize the advantages and existing problems and bring the outlook of the Hump System forward, in which a concept "Solar-launched" is brought forth.

Design of Reflecting Space Advertisement in Low Orbit

ABSTRACT

The space advertisement based on the principle of leaf vein has been designed in this paper. The giant plane advertisement is launched by rocket in outer space and can be observed by naked eye of person by reflecting sunlight back to the ground. Several key steps have been emphatically discussed, namely orbit design, folding and unfolding and in-orbit gesture control of space advertisement.

Orbit design which is the foundation of project determines the size, the coverage area, the transit time, and in-orbit attitude of space advertisement. Taking all aspects into account, low altitude orbit (orbit altitude is 300 ~ 500km) is reasonable. The problem of folding is solved by using light and thin fiber material which is so flexible that the advertisement can be fold like the parachute. However, some troubles still exist to unfold the advertisement because the vacuum and weightlessness environment of space. Inspired by the leaf vein, a novel mode, vein-type inflatable expansion method is presented in this paper. Fully considering the characteristics of the huge area of space advertisement, we take advantage of solar wind to design the in-orbit gesture.

The novel style of advertisement can bring high commercial value and also greatly facilitate the development of space exploration activities. Manufacturability and efficiency of space advertisement have been analyzed in this paper.

Light of Apollo—Applications of Transmission concentrated sunlight via fibers in Station

ABSTRACT

Transmission concentrated sunlight via optical fiber technology is the second available energy supplying source with respect to traditional PV system for the space station. The sunlight can be transmitted through the optical fiber after high compressed and filtered by the device. The transmitting capability and flexibility of fiber afford more utilization schemes of solar energy. With the help of transmission concentrated sunlight via optical fiber system, it comes to realize power generation inside the space cabin that avoid damage led by solar storms and cosmic radiation, which is independent from the traditional photovoltaic system outside cabin. By using this technology, the natural daylight can be used in the inner space of space station. Combined with the photoluminescence technology, this system can make sure a continuous natural light. It ensures that the astronauts can live healthily in both the mental and the physical. Besides, this technology can also be put into the procession of plant breeding in the space. Moreover, high temperature can be achieved by focusing the sunlight if necessary to act as high temperature heat source.

Design of Large-area extensible solar energy collection device in space

ABSTRACT

This paper comes up with a new type of space solar collection device. The device focuses sunlight to the focal point of the concave mirror, where we put a "artificial black hole" to absorb sunlight, in order to improve the efficiency of solar energy collection. Meanwhile, we introduce a large scale, light and extensible structure. The structure is small before it expands, when we send it into the outerspace, it can expand to a large scale to take advantage of more solar energy, and the shape memory characteristics of SMA can ensure the accuracy of the structure.

This device not only can generate electricity to be used to meet the needs of aircraft operating in space, you can send energy back to Earth via radio frequency transmission for civilian use. Through computer simulation, the agency extending process can be continuous and smooth.

Multi-Functional Interplanetary Spacecraft
----Wan-Hoo's Ark and Beyond

ABSTRACT

Based on the difficulties human beings had met with in space exploration and the tendency of space technologies' development in the future, the author designed a multi-functional interplanetary spacecraft----Wan-Hoo's Ark, which focusing on functions such as space exploration, space transportation, space travel and science research, applying service for developing space resources peacefully. Based on integrating and improving existing technologies sufficiently, new technologies such as nuclear propulsion & generating, mutable connection and wireless power transmission are introduced into Wan-Hoo's Ark. Concepts of modularization and standardization are used in design, so Wan-Hoo's Ark will have excellent extendibility and compatibility. Synchronously input-output business operation is used in Wan-Hoo's Ark. After three-stage assembled on orbit, it will progressively carry out missions of Earth-Moon and Earth-Mars transportation. Based on the excellent extendibility of Wan-Hoo's Ark, Future Interplanetary Spacecraft, Space Lotus and 22CF Space Factory will be assembled in future to meet with different demand of missions.

Space Refueling System

ABSTRACT

We purpose a step-wise organized system of space exploration and planetary mining procedure and derive a way to pave our path from earth low earth-orbit based stations to moon, mars, Jupiter, and subsequent exploration of the solar-system as well as outer space. And all this we purpose by using, for all later parts, the energy available in space. We will emphasize the fact that if we are ever going to do research activities in large scale in outer space, explore new-found lands, or even to colonize the space, the utilization of the abundant energy available in space is the only way. Our arguments shall make it clear why a clear concept of space mining is extremely important for our future in space.

A space pane Kun Peng is designed as a major space transportation that uses Helium-deuterium fusion reaction under a magnetic confinement for propulsion. It can work as a fuel transporter, a shuttle for astronauts and also as cargo carrier.

We have proposed to set up a fueling station on earth orbit and to construct a space factory as an initial step towards the revolutionary path of space mining.

The mining target is the planet Jupiter that is rich in helium fuel and a mining station is set up on its orbit, which also serves as a fueling station. The whole mining procedure has been explained in detail.

We have presented a farsighted view of how successful and peaceful space exploration can be done, in complete harmony with the nature.

The Deformation Robots

ABSTRACT

As an emerging technology, robot technology has been used in medicine, industry, agriculture and even military fields to a wide range of research and application. With the goal of robot mission more and more complicated, multi-robot which can simultaneously perform different tasks has gradually become a research hotspot. In this field navigation and communication of multi-robot are the focus of the study. In order to explore this question, the project developed a set of the use of laser technology and electromagnetic technology deformation wheeled robot, which can achieve in a small range of navigation and positioning, decentralized actions and formation of moving. Besides the project explores the practicability of combination of deformation robot and shows deformation robot is more flexible than the separate robot. The most important feature of this project is smaller robot appearance, compact structure, lighter and flexible.

Two New-typed Solar Array Based on Flexible Solar Materials

ABSTRACT

Solar arrays are of special significance in space exploration for the reason that they are vital devices to provide energy support to the spacecrafts. In the past decade, great progress in flexible solar arrays has been made to bring a revolutionary innovation to space solar arrays. Motivated by the rapid development of flexible photovoltaic materials, two different proposals were designed for the spacecrafts of different sizes: solar arrays in the shape of an "folding umbrella" designed for small-scale probes and those in the shape of a "roll" for larger spacecrafts like space station. Our first design, namely the umbrella solar cells, is extremely compact in structure and light in weight. Bi-STEM poles are setup to push and pull the pin jointed ribs for the use of drawing out and spreading in the "folding umbrella". Not only simple and reliable the proposal is in terms of structure, it is, at the same time, capable of protecting cosmic rays and electromagnetic radiation from the probe. While in the second proposal, namely the "roll" style design, Coilable Boom brackets are employed to stretch two rolls of solar arrays simultaneously. The application of these brackets is of great value not only in expanding the area of the solar arrays but also for strengthening the reliability and stability of the whole system. Besides, the proposal may also provide possibilities and inventive ideas for the future design of the solar arrays of such type.

Transformer —Martian Round Trip Spacecraft

ABSTRACT

The paper presents a design of Transformer, a new type of interplanetary spacecraft, aiming at the defects of current space probes. Transformer is able to fly to Mars with a special designed solar sail, and enter the Martian atmosphere. After the inflation of the solar sail, the spacecraft turns to be an airship, and is able complete a long-duration automatic exploration in the Martian atmosphere and then return to Earth with Martian samples. Transformer has advantages of longer flight life time, lower flight cost and higher benefit-cost ratio over conventional space probes. In this design, based on the requirements of low flight cost and round trip between Earth and Mars, new technologies including near space launch technology, deformation wing, inflatable solar sail, magnetic thermal shield, aluminium ice-blended fuel engine, etc. are adopted, and the idea of making use of the ice on the Martian surface is proposed, that is, produce the rocket fuel with Martian ice and Nano Al particle. A prospect on the application of this spacecraft in the future space exploration has been put forward. If Transformer could be commercialized , gigantic economic effect would be available from which human being would benefit a lot . It's believed that in the near future, this spacecraft will definitely be able to come true, and develop rapidly.

Magnetic Spatial Net
——A new design for capturing space garbage

ABSTRACT

In order to deal with more and more space garbages, we bring forward a new design of space garbage capturing system named "magnetic spatial net". The innovation of this design is the idea of installing permanent magnets on the fringe of the spatial net symmetrically. With the help of permanent magnets, the new space garbage capturing system can easily realize the functions such as stable throwing and flighting, accurate covering, capturing, locking targets and so on.

First of all, inspired by the idea of spatial net, a new idea of installing even number of permanent magnets on the edge of the net mouth is presented. Then the details in capturing process of the new spatial net are described, especially how to realize those fuctions. Second, some important parameters of the magnetic spatial net such as locking time, locking diameter, locking force and capturing distance are obtained after theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, which can validate the feasibility of our design. In the end, we put forward the unresolved problems and new improving ideas, from which we can deduce that the capturing capability can be easily improved by adjusting the design parameters.

In addition, the cost of magnetic spatial net is not high, and we believe that in the future, our magnetic spatial net will be contributive in space garbage cleaning.

A Novel Space Solar Power Station

ABSTRACT

In order to put the space solar power station into practice as early as possible, a new concept of which was proposed in this paper. The novel space solar power station, which deployed in space with the residual gas of itself, had a high degree of deployment reliability. Because of the spherical shape, this power station could keep the conversion efficiency steady needless regulating the solar array's attitudes. One station net was composed of many stations which were discrete each other, so it simplified the assembly and reduced the risk of function. A folding plan of spherical space solar power station was designed and tested in this paper also. The experiment results showed that the plan could improve folding efficiency of the model and slow down the degree of material damage, and so proved the feasible of the concept of this new type space solar power station.

The God's Grace deep space probe and the loaded comet combined system

ABSTRACT

The "God's Grace" deep space probe and the loaded comet combined system is designed as a new exploratory mode (that is an economical, namely loaded-by-the-comet mode), which is brought forward during the research and application on the astrophysics and deep space detection technology. According to the research, analysis and demonstration of the relevant information, relying on the special comet orbit, the peculiarity of the flying speed of the comet itself and the energy sources of the probe itself, the probe can be driven forward and detects a certain celestial body. This project describes the economical, namely loaded-by-the-comet mode and the design plan of the "God's Grace" deep space probe and the loaded comet combined system as well as the system composition, working out the novel configuration and its engineering design, with the illustrations of the operation principle of its subsystems, of its system assembly, and of its components and parts. Technologically, combining the design idea and experiments effectively, the fundamental system structure and the system testing prototype have been designed. Its research and its further tests as well as demonstration, provides the scientists with an opportunity of further creative studies on the moon exploration engineering technique and the deep space detection technique and opens up wide prospects for them.

A Research on the Exploration of Asteroids----"The Dragonfly" Exploration Vehicle

ABSTRACT

Based on the development of space technology, we research on the possibility of using small spacecrafts to discover minerals on the Asteroids, especially for the M-Asteroids which have the Near-Earth Orbits. Based on the Multi-SCM control technology, this article puts up with an Energy-Exploration Vehicle which is rather simple and cheap.

This vehicle consists of 5 systems: Motion control system, Energy system, Detecting system, Laser communication system and the MEMS system. By the modularizing design principle, the vehicle itself is a platform which consisted of every subsystem. We use a intelligent metal detector in order to improve the feasibility、stability and accuracy. We also improved the communication line to make it stable.

This vehicle's reliability is very high. Simply put, the technology is rather maturely and the structure is simple with strong functions. We can change different flats and recombine the vehicle conveniently. The vehicle isn't heavy, about 100 kg as we predicted. When asteroids come to their near-earth orbits, we can achieve the destination of " One rocket, many vehicles" by rockets.

In order to adapt to the environment of Asteroids, we do a lot of creation on the car-body. This vehicle can not be recovered, but the profit is very huge compared to the cost. In a word, it's of vital importance to human's space development. We can't recycle it, but it's convenient to manufacture and launch with low costs.

Multifunctional Lander

According to the research and summery of previous the re-entries and landers, we design a new lander which has the abilities of adaption to different missions and different planets, it has 8 merits: Big resistance, Small overload, Soft landing, Different planet landing, Multifunctional, Safety, Heavy load, Half recycled. It may apply in the manned spatial technology, the satellite recovery technique, the space trash cleaning up domain, the spatial rescue, the planet survey, manned interspaces astronavigation and many astronautics domains. The lander has two cabins, the internal cabin and external cabin. The external cabin could unfold to be a support in final landing stage, and could the part impacting energy to the gas' high pressure energy to form the reverse thrust. That is transform a part of useless of energy to be the useful energy, realizes the soft landing. The internal and external cabins' design may supply a better thermal protection, and may enhance the internal cabin body's useful space. The internal cabin body could use in manned and transportation or install the detector, moreover, the internal cabin body may realize the recycle, may reduce the cost greatly. The expansion cabin body may also unfold in the outer space; carry on the space trash cleaning up and the outer space rescue mission. We also have carried on the exhaustive elaboration in the article to this lander's system design and the structural configuration and have carried on the analysis and the research to this landing's aerodynamic properties and the air operated thermal characteristics, we also have separately elaborated the plan and process lands on the Moon and Mars in the end of this article.

Spit launch system

ABSTRACT

Here, we assume a spacecraft launcher. The most characteristic of this system is that it has a good economy. The whole idea is to use the buoyancy of sea water to promote the spacecraft. The entire system is located below sea level, it consists of skeleton, launch tube and floats and some other components. When used, we drain the water out of the launch tube, and place the rocket at the bottom of the launch tube, then open the valve, so the influx of sea water will produce thrust, push the rocket accelerate, then we can launch a spacecraft to its orbit.

At the same time we present several design ideas to make this system come true. The use of these ideas can be effective to achieve all the above function.

Solar System on Desktop
Design of Outer Space Simulation Software

ABSTRACT

For thousands of years, human beings are always exploring the universe. With the development of computer science and 3D animation technology, the universe exploring comes to a higher level. However, due to the special space environment, we can only do some simulations instead of the real condition experiments on the earth.

At the same time, the interest in the space technology of the public increases due to the flourish developing of CHINA AEROSPACE. To cope with the new conditions and meet the needs of space researchers and astronomy enthusiasts, we design this "solar system on desktop", a kind of software which is easy to be used and with a series of useful functions.

There are many kinds of space simulating applications of software, but to some extent, these applications are for professional researchers and hard to use. What's more, they are really expensive.

The main aim of our work is to design a kind of dynamic and controllable system, which can simulate space environment with 3D technology, also can be ran directly on web page. We can simulate outer space environment, the orbits of planets, and the gravity of planets, which can help space researchers and astronomy enthusiasts explore the outer space.

This system is developed by Java1.5 version, and we use page tags Applet as a framework for image output. Version requires the users to install JRE1.5 above (JRE1.6 recommended) and Java3D 1.5 version (less than 3MB in size) as the core 3D graphics data. Over all installed JRE1.5 version and Java3D 1.5 version of the operating system and the main web browsers (IE, Firefox, Maxthon, Opera, etc.) may be the normal output of image data.
